commonly these corrode being dissimilar metal, so i advise to grease or paint before leaving it on a saltwater boat, particularly the threads so it wont seize. if yours is stuck, i use a 6mm allen key as a lever throught e holeto provide extra leverage, or stilsons/pump-pliers will also help
early ones were cast iron, but the alloy model seem to come from the Dreaded Denmark era'
