this banjo bolt is brass, commonly they rot after 40 years or get worn by repeated use

you cannot use steel BZP version as they corrode within weeks and block, and i cannot source SS versions, so its eeither this, a refurbished one, or an expensive SS copy i had made specially - see associated items
