Water Pump Plate Vire 6 vintage NEW NOS

the vire 6 pump had bronze gears on this bronze plate, so it loses pressure if worn. later 7/12hp models changed to rubber pump rotor, so if you have low pressure from the pump, its probably this or the pump gears(2)

priced to reflect, i think this is the only NEW one left in the world.

alternatively- you could have your old one ground flat on a milling machine instead, but the reduced thickness could cause the gears or pump shaft to jam? this NEW one is original thickness

tip - if you install this part the wrong way up fore/aft, it will leak as soon as you start the engine, because the 0-ring youre supposed to grease or use hylomar on, should be sealing between the gear casting (clean of loose paint and rust?) and the pump housing. its common mistake to put the o-ring inside the housing instead of next to the casting. hence the groove edge should point to the casting and the flat side towards the housing. Also note the propshaft flange obstructs you removing the housing, so pull (youll need release the 24mm nut first)  it at least 10mm aft before trying to change the pump parts or you will find it near impossible
