VIRE REfurbished XC carburettor for Vire 12 (BING vire)

Since we can no longer get new castings of the original carburettor from Bing, i am offering this EXCHANGE service

this is original equipment and has not been available new since 2006. I am the only Dealer in the world, who is able to supply not only a ready to go Vire 12 carburettor,  it is also fully tested, tuned, and comes with a fuel inlet tail and washers and cylinder gasket making it easy to fit.

I have personally built this unit from good used parts and where neccesary my new spares, tested it on the rig in starting/idle and full throttle running and it is tuned here, packed and ready to go.

Please note, if you are noticing a loss of power, this could be due to other things you could eliminate first;

blocked exhaust, incorrect floating due to punctured float or defective fuel pump rubber membrane, defective rubber tip of your electric choke solenoid.

you will need to carefully put on your old throttle lever, i dont supply this as your own lever is often modified and calibrated for your control lever.

Why buy a refurbished one?: - 

because only someone with a lot of experience of both perfect and faulty vire 12 carburettors would know the difference. the proof of a good rebuild is not just because it looked ok inside or was new, but because it tested perfectly on a real running vire 12, and when i say perfectly, i mean reliable and full power.

If you have not got one already, i recommend a Champion spark plug and an excellent '10 micron fuel filter/water separator' for the Vire as well - see my other items or ask.

Also, for the 12hp, i reccomend a new pump rubber membrane at least every 10 years and keep a spare

and beware the electric choke solenoid tip, the rubber tip needs to be intact so it seals off the choke port when not energised or you will run rich and foul plugs. a give away to that condition is the idle mix screw needs to tune less than 1/2 turn out to run (1 turn out normal) - i sell the tips seperately too.

There is £150 surcharge on the return EXCHANGE. This means if you return your old carburettor within 28 days to me, and it is servicable, then i refund your £150 (via paypal) or a reduced but fair amount if it is missing servicable parts.
