Vire 7/12 with 3 x M10 studs (Late coupling  and a ~PLATE with 3 x 17mm M10 nuts to secure at the aft end.

This kit can be fitted in 2 ways: A or B -

A. what you do, is remove the 3 m10 studs from your gearbox-side flange, instead use the m8 bolts supplied through those now-open holes. (derusting, removing bushes and heat make it easier - do NOT shear them off!.)

B. if it is too difficult to remove the old M10 studs, then this unit is stretchy enough that with some leverage, it will fit tightly over all 6 studs, you then fit the supplied m10 bushes, and  washers to ensure all nuts are still accesible.

either way A or B , this allows you to fit the uprated stronger coupling rubber, and discard(remove or saw off) the vibrating steel/rubber discs aft of your propshaft-side flange, which restores the driveline flexibility and vibration damping.

Replacement Instructions:

follow instructions on the leaflet, including watching the youtube ("vire coupling") i created part 1 & part 2 :

included are 2 m10 nuts to help you remove the 3 obsolete m10 studs in your  gearbox flange

if they dont as usual come out easily, then dont shear them off, remove any rust and bushes flirt and if neccasary use a butane blowtorch safely, to heat up the flange 'ear' , this should ease removal

you now use the 3 bolts supplied through the coupling supplied, through the vacated m10 holes, and tighten with washers and nuts.

the old rubber and steel discs that remain on the propshaft, you can cut off or tie-up (they were to stop the weaker coupling stretching apart and failing, which the new coupling should withstand. it is 10x stronger)

if you are not removing the old m10 studs to replace with the m8 bolts supplied, you will find the stretching required easy by hand only, but i suggest the 13mm spanner can be used to squeeze between the propshaft hub centre, and each of the 6 holes outward, then it is easier.

Note:

'late' version rubbers (driven by longer m10 studs)are weak, vibrated and discontinued 2020 I reccomend this kit fitted to quieten down any propshaft vibration you noticed, even if your original coupling has not failed yet
